got my date for july 19 to "get my sleeve on"...which is sorta like getting my groove on but with a less embarrassing outcome... anywho, it is with Francisco Gonzalez, a member of the BajaMed Group and I'm super happy... and If y'all watched my 2nd vlog and I looked dumb, well, I'm sorry :)

Strange, You should ask him that! :) Just tell him you're "not that kind of girl" and that he has to at least shake your hand and buy you some broth first. ;)

oh, I definitely will. I already made sure he'd let me see my stomach they take out, oh, and i can put gloves on and touch it, how gross and interesting at the same time

That is gross. I've been researching tummy tucks and every time I see pics of someone's removed skin I want to hurl.

My best friend is an ER nurse and she's finally learned not to tell me horror stories about what goes on at work. I lose my cool really quick when it comes to blood and guts.

I can handle anything but needles/IVs. I have fainted so many times getting blood drawn it is ridiculous and I havent ever made it thru an IV without fainting and I have had no less than 10

Hey StrangelyNormal!!

I am just finishing my recovery time with the bajamedgroup. I leave for home Friday morning! I am very happy with my recovery and have been virtually pain free (knock on wood, tap tap).I can't wait to get home and do my first post op weigh in. We went shopping today and it was the first time in almost a year that it didnt feel like I had a knife going through my right foot. I cant believe I feel a difference so fast but I do.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
