Tricare Prime vs. Tricare Standard

Recommended Posts

I have tricare standard and I live in brooklyn ny. I have called around and no is accepting tricare. The only place was lutheran hospital and they gave me an appointment for the end of July. They also told me the whole process is 6 to 9 months after my appointment. I was going to a seminar at methodist hospital but when I called the med assistant didnt even no what tricare was and said no. So Im really lost here. I have tricare north. Any will be appreciated.:o

Have you contacted your Tricare rep? They might be able to help you out.

I have Tricare south and they were awesome! I got in for surgery within weeks of my seminar. Tricare paid for all but about a hundred bucks. My doctor thought I had to pay more but ended up refunding me later. Anyway, call Tricare and ask for help finding a provider. You may be able to find one in a nearby town. Or just start making calls to other lapband surgeons within driving distance. It's worth it even if you have to drive an hour or two.

thanks. you have to be lucky with tricare and get someone who know what they're talking about. I am attending a seminar on tuesday with NYU Dr. Fielding. A friend of mine recommended him.

Well that didn't work out. The truth is NYC is not a "military friendly city" especially when it comes to health insurance. Most people don't even know about Tricare.

Going to another seminar at Lenox Hill. Hoping this is the one.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
