September Bandsters

Recommended Posts

I'm 196 down from 198 (2 pounds loss). I've got a few pounds on last weeks, i hope it's all because of the weight training i've been doing lately.

1st year anniversary coming up, i hope to be on goal by sept 7. Excercise, excercise and excercise :boxing:

sorry to be so slow. this summer is crazy. my weight is up 2 pounds this week. I knew 10 was too much to loose .. anyway. do you all still receive notices when someone writes on this thread? I don't get any notices anymore. any ideas what I can do? notices are nice because it reminds me to check in.

Sandranoelle: Don't know why you wouldn't get notices. I think by posting that you should. Maybe you should contact the webmaster and let them know there is a problem. Their new format has a few problems I believe. Anyway, 8 pounds is still great!

Karey - Just came in on this thread. Would love to join the challenge. I was banded Sep of 2005 and am starting the Plastic Surgery rounds. Hoping to have surgery sometime in September. Thought about scheduling it for the 13th which would be my 2 year bandversary. It all depends on everyone elses schedules. Other employees' vacations at my & my husbands work as well as my mother & sisters schedules as I'd like them to come help out after surgery.

Back to the challenge:

Today's weight - 169.8 (-3.8 or +2 depending on your outlook)

Last Week - 173.6

2 Months ago - 167.8

Goal for bandversary - 159 or 1-1/4 pounds per week

Diane: Welcome to our thread. I will add you to the group's weekly challenge. What kind of plastic surgery are you having? We will all be excited to learn about it and watch your progress. Many of us are contemplating PS when we meet our goal. I know that I am. I want to have a lower body lift, maybe a breast lift. I'm not sure about the breast lift. I need one, but I'm nervous about that one. Anyway, welcome aboard!

I'm having either a extended Tummy Tuck or may just go for a full lower body lift. I'm also planning on having a breast reduction (covered by insurance) later as the surgeon won't perform both surgeries at the same time. I'd also love to have my inner thighs done but highly doubt I can find the money much less convince my husband to spend any more on me than we already have.

I'm hoping to have the stomach done in either early September or October. I'd like to do it on Sep 13th my bandversary but my mother is on vacation then and wouldn't be able to help me with my 3 year old until early October. So I'm torn.

Kareyquilts,

Please add me to the challenge. Starting 209; last week no loss; today down 1.5 lbs.:clap2:

Think I may be finally getting out of that plateau. Been going to curves for 3 months now and really working toward the 10K at the Marine Corps Marathon in DC on 28 October.

Keep me motivated.:cheer2:

Hi ya'll. I am down 1 lb. for the week. Karey, my original weight has a dash instead of a 2. Original starting weight for the chalenge was 182. Thanks.

Everyone is doing well. I just did 30 min. on the recumbant bike and about 20 min. of floor exercises and 3 lb. weights. I wish I could do this in the morning, but I just haven't been getting up in time. If I'd stay off this site late at night, maybe I'd be able to get up earlier!! :embarassed:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
