Hi Sue

I hope your surgery went as "text book" and that you look and feel marvelous that is when your all healed up.

I've heard some PS can take a few months to see results but in your case I think your going to see results immediately?

I've been thinking about you. Fill us in with all the details when you can.

Hi, guys. I had a couple of good days, and then the On-Q pain relief system was finished doing its job. I'm uncomfortable now and on drugs. My energy level waxes and wanes. I had two relatively sleepless nights. Went to the doctor on Wednesday (six days post-op). He removed some tubes and I had the wound redressed.

I had NO Lipo and no fat removal, per se. It was just that the hanging panniculus--the "apron of skin"--that hung down is gone. I'm a little swollen right now. And I'm REALLY resenting my stupid Jackson-Pratt drains that are there to allow all the Fluid to collect outside the body. Anyway, my last pill is kicking in. I'm going to go enjoy the magic.

Thanks for all the good wishes!

I could only dream of having that flabby thing removed. I have a picture when I was 7 in a bikini showing my "pooch." I've had it way too long. Wow, Sue, that's awesome. Hope you feel better quick since summer is here and you'll want to show off your new belly!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
