Hi SpaceyCasey

Sorry you were so sick and uncomfortable for such a long time - glad you are now feeling better.

on the other hand losing 67 lbs. in such a short time, well it was horrible losing that way, while you were sick.......but....

glad you feel better now, and enjoy your journey with the sleeve

good luck

Lol a bezoar is a mass of some sort that doesn't get digested and apparently they are common in Wls patients. I've never heard of it before either. It was terrible It got so bad the last 3 weeks I couldn't eat or drink anything I was so exhausted and tired! But now it's out I'm so much happier!

Glad u feel better! I'm in the medical field and we always learned a bezoar is a hair ball. Which can happen to ppl who chew on their hair. Didn't know it could be anything that won't digest. Interesting! But funny thing is.... I had my surg feb6 and wr just got a new dog in jan. who sheds sooo bad and now it seems like I can eat less than I could about 6 wks ago. So I thought man I have a hair ball from this dog shedding and I probably breath it in and swallow it and DON'T KNOW IT! Lol. Maybe I should get checked!!!??! B I didn't vomit for the 1st 6 weeks but now I do lately. Not often tho. Hummmm???

That's funny because he asked me if I chew on my hair! He didn't think it was my hair ball because I'm blonde and the bezoar was black. I told him I have a black dog though so I might need make sure I'm not swollowing his hair. Lol

There was another lady on here a few months back who had a bazoar. It was from eating raw celery. Its stringy like hair and it didnt digest and made a ball. Maybe you could find her post by searching bazoar. She might give you some insight. Tammi

Well the dr that took the bezoar out told me soda breaks them up. So if I start to feel a little clogged again I'm gonna sip on a soda to try and break it up before it gets big.

I think I figured out what caused me to have a bezoar I'm pretty sure it was edamame beans!! I had some last night and today I just felt like something was stuck and nothing would stay down. So I went and got a coca cola and sipped on it and I think I broke it up I feel better now. I guess the skin on the Beans don't digest or go down very easily. So edamame lovers Watch out!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
