yes dh is getting excited.we went shopping yesterday and he bought 3 big bags of chips and dip. he said these are my last for awhile. he starts his pre op on aug 18.we had a scare ,dr joffee called to cancel it as hosp.needed that spot for a cancer patient.postponed till oct 28 .dh was so disappointed he said i might as well cancel it as he starts his schooling in sept. and his mind was set to go in august then they called backthe next day and asked if he wanted that date back as they juggled it around so we have to be in hosp. for 6 in morning oh well i am glad he is getting it done in aug.hopefully.

dh. has to do it in the hosp. because family history of maglignant(sp)hypotherma and they don,t want to take chances. i was on solid stage on thurs. and fri. i went for fill, and i thought i am going to eat something good before i am on liquids again. they say to eat something light before fill.dd. took my husband and out for supper and i ordered chicken breast melt and salad and all i ate was half of chicken and a bite of Tomato .i was to full. i brought it home. it was awesome .how long will that restriction last?

kim, when they put the saline in the band, your right, it just gets a little tighter, but this can cause a little swelling. So, with the little swelling plus the new fill, they usually tell you to stick to fluids. My doc say no food or Water 2 hours before and no food for 2 hours after, then just mushie stuff for a day, thats all. It really isnt a big deal.:Banane27:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
