Getting Back On Track

Recommended Posts

Hello Sleevers,

I finally decided to go to the gym for the first time in my life. I am still nervous and dread walking in there, but I need to continue with my weight loss. Long story short, I was sleeved 10/10 and lost 70 pounds without exercising at all (I am not proud of admitting to that). I started eating bad again and gained 7-10 pounds since June 2011. I just completed the 5 day pouch test and started the Leslie Sansome "Walk away the pounds" 1 mile. My 10 week body sculpt start Monday April 9.

Wish me luck,

Xs-2011

No sweats. I've lost 69 lbs without doing much exercise also. But I decided to start walking and going back to the gym tomorrow. I have so much more energy than before, also have started The Basic Boot camp diet by LilMissDiva and lost a couple ozs over night. So what I'm saying is, it's not too late and you can do this! ;)

One day at a time is my MO!

In my experience, if you exercise regularly (and challenge yourself), you can eat whatever you want. You'll like it, I'm sure!

I am in the same boat as you basically. I lost 125 pounds or thereabouts with little to no exercise at all and now I have been hovering around 265 up a few, down a few since January.

I even have 3 months free at the YMCA and I have yet to go yet. I have been eating lot of wrong things all in small portions so I haven't gained anything back yet.

I need to get myself moving and stop eating like an idiot. Good Luck to you and send some exercising energy my way!!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
