Can anyone tell me if u get your hair back?

I'm curious to know about this topic as well. Have not been sleeved just yet. I have thin hair already, and am a little worried about losing more.

It is common and was almost a deal breaker for me at first! But it will grow back. It just takes time. I'm increasing my Protein and supplements a few months before surgery to try to help with it, but since I have very thin hair too, I know I'll lose it.

I understand that almost everyone experiences Hair loss and that it does start growing back between 6-9 months. About a month after surgery, you can start taking something called Biotin to help slow down the hair loss. The best thing you can do though is be sure to get all of your Protein daily.

OMGoodness... I was so freaked out by thinking my hair was going to fall out. And basically resided myself to that reality before I had the surgery. I am not all that vain. But I have really long hair and have had it all my life long. So, it would have been really weird to loose it. But I worried in vain. Sure, I lost some. But not a lot. Only noticeable to me. I wish I didnt worry so much. Most people only notice themselves. And it grows back.

Yes it grows back...atleast that has been my experience. I began to loose my hair at 3 months and lost until 8 months and it is back to normal now...15 months out. I didnt use a special Shampoo, I just took a supplement from GNC called b-beautiful. I noticed that panteen made my hair fall out worse...dont know why but it was bad. Over all I would say I lost more than 1/3 my hair.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
