Anyone Else Having Consistant Problems With The Site?

Recommended Posts

Since the new front end to this site has been used I've had a LOT of problems with it.

I use Firefox 10.1 to access the site and accross all 4 of the PCs I use I have the same problems - as well as my Android tablet.

Firefox refuses to allow the spell check to work - while this mayseem to be a browser issue I sincerely beleive that it's a site issue. I suspect that the text input dialogs are somehow tagged wrong and they come accross as a type of dialog box which will not allow spell check to work, I know this is a common issue with some sites for SUBJECT type dialog boxes, that is the SUBJECT dialog box (like the Topic Title dialog in these posts) does not allow spell check but the actual MESSAGE dialog should.

I also see a lot of issues with posts refreshing, like editing a post and the site refusing to refresh the page so I can review the newely edits post.

On my Android pad it quite often refuses to allow me to enter text as the keyboard won't pop up, while on a few other boards it works just fine. It's like it doesn't recognize that's it's in a text dialog box. I suspect that it's the same issue as with the above problem with Firefox.

Also the pages load glacially slow and sometimes won't render completely.

Is there still an Android app in the works?

I have had some problems recently with getting errors and thought it was my pc or my internet server, but it does it on my iphone too. I can't remember what the error says. I use Firefox on my laptop. I don't remember any spell-check issues but I will pay attention to that and let you know if I do.

We are actively working on resolving the issues mentioned above. We hope to have it foxed within a matter of days. I'll update you here and let you know once we find the problem.

Our own Android app should be released this week and our iPhone app should follow very soon after.

It would be very very helpful if you can provide us with more detailed info on the exact error message(s) you've been receiving please.

Alex,

It seems like it was SQL server error. But that was just one day, and I thought it was my laptop, internet, or browser. But I tried to also use my iphone which is AT&T 3G and I got the error again. But the next day it was fine. I will let you know if I see that again and what exactly it said. Today I've been posting a lot, with absolutely NO problems.

:)

We were having some database issues that were causing that error. They've since been resolved.

You should see an button right after the "Forum" button named "Current" Click on that button and you should be able to view Unread posts from across all forums.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
