I too am interested! I have been thinking about this for a while and plan to start having this done when I am out of school and actually working. My lip has always been something I have to wax or bleach, but since my 30's my chin is getting worse and worse. I have to hit it with the tweezers almost daily since there is usally a stray or 2. It stinks!!!! Glad to see I am not alone! Thanks for the info.

I am considering laser hair removel. Does it work? Does it hurt???????

What were your results.

How many years since you had it?:help:

My daughter had excess facial hair in a circle around her jaw and neck area. She was VERY self-conscious and started not going anywhere, so we looked into it and went ahead with it. It was minimally painful for her and the hair hasn't come back! I'll bet it's been 10 years. She would do it again in a heartbeat! GO FOR IT!! IT'S WORTH IT!! :clap2:

wow, so it doesn't pick up blonde hair? dang it. I have been wanting to get this done too, however hadn't researched it yet. All of my hairs are blonde even my eyebrows. I have to use an eyebrow powder to darken them. Shoooot!

On my upper lip and chin, I had 6 treatments over the course of a year and it worked really well. Not much pain at all - just the upper lip. Then I moved about 3 hours from my doctor's office. Which sucks because sessions were $275 and then $95 after the first 5. I think all offices structure their pay scale like this and now I have to go to someone new and spend the big $$ again. errr!!

It's been a year since I stopped and I'm not happy that I spent over $1000 and am finding I have hair on my chin again. Damn PCOS!!

I want to ask my doctor about Vaniqa cream. Has anyone tried it? Can you get it from any doctor or does it need to be a dermatologist?

Those with PCOS - after weight loss do you find less Hair growth?

I tried Vaniqua, my gynecologist prescribed it for me. To be honest, I really didn't notice any difference with it at all. I think for people with minor problems, it might work well, but it just didn't work for my.

I had the laser hair removal done on my lower legs and finished over a year ago. I think I had 5 treatments over a year. I noticed the most difference after the second treatment. It hurt A LOT but I bought some numbing cream that made it bearable. They keep turning up the "power" each visit. It really hurts around the toes and ankles. And it was pricey - I think my package was about $1200. But I would do it again in a heartbeat. I have dark, coarse hair and it was always a pain in the ass to shave my legs. I would always gets razor burn and it would grow back right away. I still have a few stray hairs but they are pretty fine and easy to shave. Also, the laser brought out "freckles" on my feet. They claimed they had never seen that before. But it is a small price to pay for being basically hair free on my lower legs. I'll do my arm pits someday.

I highly recommend it. The place I went to was Sona - I think they are a chain.

I have light, reddish bonde hair and it didnt work well. I had 8 treatments (underarm) that IS dark and coarse- I thought. Hurt like hell. Thinned the hair but its still there and for what it costs- I think it could be better. Thats the draw back works best on thick coarse dark hair- no fine, lighter hair.

Did not work at all for those 3-4 light coarse hairs on my chin!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
