March Roll Call!

So I am having my surgery on March 15th with Dr. Kelly in Tijuana, MX. I would love to make friends with some fellow March 2012 sleevers to share the journey....

Just got to hospital! Super excited and a little anxious!

Good luck! Keep us posted.

I don't live in Vegas. I live in Seattle. A friend of mine was sleeved by Dr. Umbach about a year & 1/2 ago and had a good experience. I had a great experience with Dr. Umbach last week. Feel free to ask specific questions. Even if you have questions about the hotel stay & recovery.

Loran

Loran,

I live in Las Vegas so I will come home after the surgey thanks. How did you do on the Pre-op shakes? I am a self pay patient my insurance does not cover the surgery so I will not meet the Dr until 3-22. So you saying it was a great experience is great to here. How are you feeling after the surgery?

Thanks

Patty

March 10th Sleevers, how are you guys doing?

Honestly, I feel terrible. Wasn't expecting this much pain. Lortab elixir makes me vomit, had to get pills instead.. Feeling stronger every day though I question why I did this?? LOL Just really sore and having a hard time getting all my liquids.

I bet when you start losing the weight you will be questioning why you didn't do it earlier!!! Hang in there, from what I have heard it does get better. Can't wait for my turn in a week.

THanks eylish! I agree.. I wish I had done this a long time ago so I wouldn't be going thru this now... I am happy I had it done, believe me, I just was in denial as to how much I would be hurting..... Very excited for you-this week will FLY by!!!!

Yea, meeting him the day before is just fine. Be sure and pay close attention in the nutrition class. Very good information. I'm 10 days post-op and feel great.

Hey kbs1010. Your day is coming up. Will keep you and all other 3/15ers in my prayers. I hope your surgeries go as easily as mine did. Right now I'm just scared of doing anything that could damage it.. Following doc's advise to the t.

It's 8pm on the 13th here in Korea and I go in to the hospital for more pre op testing and a overnight stay tomorrow morning. Sooo exciting and nerve wracking. The 15th is my big day .

March 21st with Dr. Salzberg at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, VA

Same surgery date march 21, 12.. Dc. Checking in

I just returned home from having surgery on 03/09/12. I feel suprisingly well. I am a bit sore around the main insicion but overall feel better than expected. I am going to take it easy and enjoy the rest of my spring break. It feels good to be on this side of the surgery!

Thanks for thinking of me! Yes, at work for my last day before flying out tomorrow. I am on Clear liquids only at this point...I am excited, and scared, and at this point I just want to be there and have met everyone so I know more what to expect!

Yes, please keep us in your prayers. I will update as soon as possible from Mexico.....I am sure I will post tomorrow, but just in case!

1st day post-op and feeling pretty darn great!! I'm a little nauseous when getting liquid lortab down but it passes. I'm walking every couple hours and started sipping water last night. Just had my first Popsicle and it was so good.
