    March Roll Call!

@wheetsin What did the doc say about your stall? I wanna know if this is normal or should I just go with the idea that the sleeve isn't gonna work for me.

    Regrets

I was sleeved on March 27th and to date I'm not convinced that this surgery was worth the money or trouble.. I can't eat anything and what I do eat I don't enjoy. Worst of all I haven't lost any significant amount of weight.. I know I had a low BMi to start with but hell I could have lost the few pounds I've lost without all the trouble .. Starting weight 217 Pre-op 204 To date 199 As you can see the pounds lost were do from the pre- op diet. I'm not expecting to wake up in the morning and be skinny but I was expecting something different .. Ugh

    Not Loosing/ Or High Expectations

Thanks ladies, I will start working out this week and see if gives the metabolism a boost.. Good luck to all of us
  14. I was sleeved on march 27, 2012 My preop weight was 217, my weight on the day of surgery/ after preop diet was 204. After surgery I was back up to 211 (gas, fluids, bloating) as of tomorrow I'll be 3 weeks post op and my current weight is 199. Am I not losing or could it me that expectations are unrealistic. I'm starting to wonder if it was worth it after all.... Any one else not losing or with the same experience ????

    Not Loosing/ Or High Expectations

That sounds reasonable and makes a whole lot of sense. I think I may have been overwhelmed by some of the post that i see here in the message boards

    What To Eat?

I am ten days post op and doing great, I have experienced some head hunger but nothing that I can't control. However I am sick of cream soups and protein drinks already. Will be two weeks post op on Tuesday . What are you guys consuming at two weeks? Seriously need a change. Suggestions anyone? ????

    March Roll Call!

I'm two weeks post op and couldn't tolerate the chewable vitamins a 3 days post op. I bought a prenatal vitamin w iron. It has 150 iron not quite two 100 plus close. I hope that once I'm on solid foods I can then tolerate the bariatric vitamins

    What To Eat?

My coworker made a wonderful breakfast for the squad this morning.. French toast beef sausage and scrambled eggs.. Without asking if I'd like any she sat en enormous plate of food in front me. I just stared at it while everyone else ate. When she came over I foolishly ate a few bites of the eggs so she wouldn't feel bad. The eggs are stuck in my throat and I feel foolish and miserable. Let's not forget I'm only 11 days post op... Ugh.. Maybe I should just come out the closet about my sleeve.

    What To Eat?

All of that sounds DELICIOUS and my nut gave me the same diet but at day 22.. I wonder why they all differ so much.. Do you purée ur veggies in a blender or do you use a food processor?

    Dumping Syndrome

@imanroke You maybe right, I spoke to my nut and she says the exact thing..(suclarose) and try and stay away from anything that has more than 5 grams of sugar at least in the early stages
  23. 6 days post op and feeling fabulous minus the dumping syndrome.. I have been dumping for two days nonstop and it's making me miserable. I haven't read any complaints of dumping on this site at all. I do know another sleever that is dumping as well .. Anyone know how to reduce this dumping?

    Plane Ride Home...

Hey barbdoll I just had surgery with Dr Ortiz on the 27th and believe me you are in for a treat. Besides him being handsome (so is Dr Martinez and Dr So) He is very down to earth and you can tell from talking to him that he knows his buisness!! The facility is small but very nice very well equipped and exceptionally clean. The nurses don't speak too much English but are really sweet and comforting. It's almost like having your favorite aunt or your grandmother taking care of you. I stayed at the Marriott and it was nice as well, the staff was great and the chicken broth and Popsicles were really good. Good luck no need to wish you well, you are in very good hands.☺
  25. Arrived here in Tijuana yesterday before noon. Crossing the border was easy. I'm staying at the Marriott not far from hospital Angeles. The hotel is very nice, heated pool, all the HBO channels (English) and great tasting coffee. Everyone has been very nice. I met some other sleevers as well. Coming alone hasn't been too bad so far. The next time I post I'll be sleeved.. Good luck to the rest of you
