I am asking for prayers tonight. I got very sick last night and developed a temp of 101. My surgeon told me to go to the ER to be evaluated. A ct scan and upper gi confirmed I have a small leak. Out of several thousands, I'm the 2nd one that this has ever happened to with my surgeon. Everyone here has always been very supportive and I appreciate any words of encouragement. I'm feeling quite down right now.

you know, I have this weird thing about thinking about how we can help ourselves....I'm visualizing that little leak being soothed by the care you are getting, and being able to close itself. visualization and positive thinking are powerful things. you are strong, imagine that leak sealing and you getting better and better! Praying for you. I agree with others, do what the docs say and everything will be fine. Please continue to update us when you can.

I had the band for 10 years - don't be fooled that it is without issues as many band patients have terrible side effects especially a few years out....

while trying to decide between the band and sleeve this is terrifying. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Just a bump in the road. At least you know what the problem is now and your on your way to being better. I too had complications. Not a leak but a stricture. You will get better. Take one day at a time. I am going to pray for you that you have a quick recovery.
