Can We Talk About Underwear?

Recommended Posts

Heatherr- I can't imagine wearing a thong :) it would get lost between my big dimpled cheeks, lol. I will take your advice and try them though. I'll make it my reward for if I meet my Valentine's Day goal.

I only will buy the Jockey for Her cotton panties (3 pk) from Kohls, you can always seem to find them on sale. I love them and they will carry you over a wide weight range.

My favorites I got at Kmart on the discount table - think they were Joe Boxers. I have them in all sizes and I think they had them in 2x and 3x as well. I also really like the ones hubby got me from Aeropostale and Rue 21 now that I am smaller, but they're not any more or less comfortable now that I'm smaller. Honest. And, because they have less fabric, it's only hip size that matters, really. I've found that thong panties last through more stages of weight loss which could SAVE you money in the long run. Also, as my jeans get bigger and fall off my bum, I at least feel confident that I'll be sporting cute panties. I kid! Sorta kinda.

My favorite underwear I got FREE from Victoria's Secret in a promotion they had just before Christmas. I think they are "Body By Victoria". They look tiny but stretch well! They also don't show panty lines under clothes.

Gotta say that since I've lost weight, VS and I have a "thing" going on! I love buying pretty underwear!! blush5.gif

I'm a boyshorts kinda girl - or I was before I had too much to put in a boyshort to still look cute. Can't wait to get back there :)

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
