Donna~

You must be very proud of that handsome young man! He and all the others who serve to protect us make me proud, and I don't even know them!

Sorry it took me so long to open this thread. I'm sitting here with alligator tears rolling down my face. Like the others, I know a mother's heart wants to protect their son, but you must surely be proud of him. My son has made mention recently of joining the service and while it scares me to death to think of him in harm's way, I know that my heart would surely burst with pride in seeing him become the man that the service can make of him. God bless your son in his journey. I applaud him for his courage and I pray that he will be safe in God's hands as long as he chooses to stay.

Thanks all.....

Leatha.... You hit the nail on the head. A mother and her son. The military has taken my him from a lost man of 22 with no self esteem and turned him into a man who takes pride in what he is doing and how he looks.

When I hugged him he seemed taller.... It is because for the first time in years he is standing up straight

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
