that is a good question. what do you mean by cheat? a man or woman can cheat emotionally and physically. usually it is the emotional that comes first and leads to physically/sexually cheating. my vote is that most men cheat. please no attacking responses to me for saying that. it is my opinion. i could be wrong. every man that i know has cheated or still cheats now. again, this is just my opinion.

Neither me or my spouse has physically cheated. We've been married 1 year this month and together 5 years and 4 months.

Mentally?? That's a different story. Mentally I have cheated on my husband with Brad Pitt, The Rock, Vin Diesel, Tommy....and just yesterday with Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Carribean)

We have been married for 31 yrs and I know neither of us has ever cheated. There may have been a bit of dreaming on both sides - especially during the indifferent years but besides being married we are best friends, fishing buddies, and confidants. I would know if he was cheating. With the way our schedules work and always seem to have worked he would have had to step into a different dimension to find time! As we slow down some, the love and respect grows even more and neither can imaging life without the other - which is one reason why I had the surgery.

. my vote is that most men cheat.

That is what scares me to death, because every man I have ever known has cheated or at least tried to and it is usually the last person you would expect and for the last reason you would expect. I am trying not to go into detail on my situation because I know the web is never safe, but I just wanted to see what everyone else thought on this situation. I am so glad that there are so many wonderful relationships out there and wish everyone the best of luck in their marriage, I am just a bit jilted now that there is a worthwhile, decent and goodlookin man out there that doesn't cheat on his wife. Sorry for my negativity right now.

I think it depends on how you mean cheat. I say to my spouse all the time "OH wow, look at her, she is hot, blah blah" and she does the same to me. We both know that mentally picturing getting down and dirty is different than doing it.

I think that emotional cheating, where you develop a relationship that doesn't get physical, with someone other than your spouse is more hurtful than the physical part. I have told her that if she went away to some meeting or something, got drunk and had sex with someone I would be much less hurt than if she met someone, became close and started to have a close intimate non-sexual relationship.

Having the love of my life cheat on me is my biggest fear. I can't imagine the hurt I'd feel. My world would fall apart.

I can't explain how horrified the idea makes me. I would rather be single for ever than to have my love break my heart.

If he ever does, I hope to god he will learn his mistake, stop, and never tell me.

I agree with you - both points. I think fantasies are one thing, I don't consider that cheating.

I also agree about the emotional vs. physical. I too have told my spouse that a very involved emotional/romantic relationship on his part with someone else, even with no sex involved, would hurt more then a drunken one-night stand. Not that it would be OK, but just not as much a betrayal somehow.

We define cheating as something we would hide from each other, or lie about doing.

I truly believe that internet online chatting with the opposite sex in any sexual way is considered cheating.

To me they would both be equal, I don't mean mentally thinking of someone, to me if it is something I think would hurt my spouses feelings and it involved an actual person they are with or we even know then that is cheating. None of the mentally thinking of someone else, everyone does that. But the actually going out to even look for something else is cheating to me.

Neither of us have cheated. I have heard my husband say on occasion when the topic of dicussion is about someone we know cheating on the other...."I would never do that to Carol because I know just how much it would devastate her, I would never want to hurt her like that".

It is my biggest fear, I love my Al so much I can't stand to even think that he has touched another woman or had an intimate conversation with someone else. Even though I trust him, losing him to another woman is a real fear of mine......I hope my weight loss helps me be more confident that this will never happen.....even though Al has never said one negative word about my weight problem and has greatly supported me with everything I have ever done.

Carol :)

To me cheating is anything you are doing that you are having to hide from your spouse that involves another person of interest. The insane may answer only if their input is sane! HA!

Good definition, Kim! I agree with you but take it a little further -- I don't believe spouses should be turned on physically by someone other than their spouse -- so nothing from flirting to porn! I'm a little extreme and don't subscribe to the "I can look but I can't touch" philosophy.

My dh and I have been married for 13 wonderful years. People think we're newleyweds all the time. Neither of us has ever cheated. We have a deep trusting relationship. It IS possible to achieve and very rewarding :)

That being said, how do ya'll know FOR SURE you haven't been cheated on???

100%, not a chance in the world that it's happened. We're together virtually all the time, haven't even spent a night apart since we were married, and talk to each other about everything. He is a man of great integrity and hates dishonesty, disloyalty, and wouldn't for a minute consider cheating. He won't even watch a movie where the characters are cheating.

That's very cool - good for you guys.

I think it all comes down to what works for a given couple. I can't help getting turned on by a good looking guy, and I do flirt a little. But never much, and DH is usually around when I do. It goes no further, and we all know it.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
