You have to get past the point of peeing a lot. It only works if you give it time. The reason you pee a lot is because the body is replacing all of the Water is has been holding on to. Your cells are refreshing themselves. Once your body has removed all of the old water, and the impurities in your body, you will stop peeing so much. You will find your digestion is easier, your skin is healthier, your hair is softer, your eyes are clearer, you will get less headaches, and your muscles will have the hydration needed to work at their peak, and repair quickly after each workout. Trust me. The more water you get in the better. I used to drink a gallon a day. It felt great! I am newly banded so I can't drink that much now, but I notice a huge difference in how i feel everyday without the water.

i could stand the peeing alot if i could see some results. you know what i mean. i don't want to start retaining Fluid because i am drinking like a fish. and that is what my previous experience was. i drank tons and lost nothing. the other benefits are good too, but i am more concerned about the weight loss.

You retain Water when you are dehydrated, when you drink a lot of Water you don't retain water. It's the opposite way around. Hydration is necessary for your liver to metabolize fat properly, if you are not hydrated you can not burn as much fat - being well hydrated increases fat metabolism. You can tell if you're hydrated because your urine will be clear or very light in colour. Also you won't be thirsty, if you wait till you feel thirst, you're allready in a mild state of dehydration. Also being dehydrated or thirsty, even mildly will often feel like hunger to people.

What makes you think that you are retaining Water? is it that the scale went up? Because if it did then you were very dehydrated and the reason the scale went up is because your body finally had all the moisture it truly needed. You really do need water. Just keep drinking till your pee is clear or light, and keep it that way.

i suppose you all are probably right. i am just all nervous. and i hate to see the scale go up. i am starting to feel not so good. my body is sore. i don't know if i am not getting enough nutrients or what. probably not enough Protein and other stuff. i eat 3 meals a day and that is it. i try to get in some Water first thing in the morning then an hour later Breakfast. (3 oz of something. yogurt, or fruit) then water after an hour or two after breakfast. then i wait another hour or so and have lunch. then about another 4 hours for dinner.< /p>

signs of dehydration are things like tiredness, muscle aches, stomach cramps, feeling chilly with no fever, lightheadedness, fuzzy mind (not thinking clearly), blurred vision, peeing only once or twice a day, difficulty with bowel movements, the list goes on. These can also be signs of other things, but knowing that you are not taking in as much Water as you should be, and if any of these things are happening together, then it is safe to say that you are dehydrated. Don't be afraid of putting on a few pounds to get your body hydrated. It is so important to have your body well hydrated.

HAHAHAHAHAHA Omg yes it is true! Fat people can get dehydrated just as easily as skinny people. I think your GP is WAY off on that one. I ended up in the hospital with severe dehydration about a month and a half ago because of strep throat. One day of not drinking, and I was in bed, in pain, halucinating, shivering uncontrollably, and dry heaving. In fact most of the reasons why fat people retain Water is because they are more likely to be dehydrated than skinny people. You really need to get at least 64 ounces of water in a day. double that is better for you.

well, i do have those signs. some times i don't pee at all during the work day. once when i wake up in the morning. once or twice when i get home in the evening and once before bed. and it is dark yellow. i know that is the telltale sign of needing more Water. within the last few days i have been peiing more than that. still dark yellow though. i know, probably too much information.

This book written by a Dr. claims chronic dehydration causes obesity, depression and cancer - [ame=http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0970245823/002-6746921-4982420?v=glance&n=283155]Amazon.com: Obesity Cancer & Depression: Their Common Cause & Natural Cure: F. Batmanghelidj: Books[/ame]

Spooky huh? I really think years of drinking almost nothing but diet coke in my past directly affected my weight gain and my depression. I am feeling SO much better staying properly hydrated.

I dont believe a lot of the hype about Water - sure you need to drink Water and many people do not drink enough water, but once you are properly hydrated, any more is just excess, same as with taking Vitamins. Six to eight glasses a day (plus extra when you exercise, I usually get through a litre with a run) is enough for most people.

Everyone feels and looks better when properly hydrated though - and you probably should drink before you're actually thirsty, but there's no need to force down gallons and gallons of it.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
