Okay, so I am very pleased with my weight loss thus far, and so excited about this journey. However, I am super bummed about this new phenomenon of adult acne!! I have never had problem skin, and my beautiful skin was one of my most prevalent and frequent compliments from others. However, now it seemed I have developed acne! It is mean acne too, resistant to everything I have tried. It is mostly concentrated on my forehead with a few stray bumps on my cheeks and chin. I know that sometimes that body expresses its struggle with adjusting to the new sleeve in many different ways, but I have not seen any posts on here about this. Am I alone? How long will this last? I didn't wanna go from looking like a cupcake to a crunch bar! Nobody warned me about this and I am totally blindsided. HELP!!!

OMG! Yes, I now have acne like you've never seen before. I have never-and i mean never had acne in my entire life as a teen, or even in pregnancy my face was so clear and smooth. Now, i have a new zit everyday i wake up! it's bad! and gross..... i thought it was the oils in the nuts i was eating but cut that out and changed diet all around and i still have them..let me know if you find anything that helps...maybe its just our bodies adjusting???? not sure but I feel ya girl!

Add me into the adult acne circle! I also never had acne before, even through 4 pregnacies. Now, however, my face is breaking out like nobody's business. It's mainly on my cheeks, but it's very frustrating. I had heard that when you lose a lot of weight at a fast pace, the fat cells release extra hormones in your body and that could cause acne. I guess we're living proof that this is true?

I am in the same boat. The first few months after sugery, everyone keep telling me how good my skin looked and that I had a glow. Now, I have acne on my forehead and cheeks. The acne on my cheeks hurt and I hate it. I hope this will be over soon.

Same here:(. I think it may have something to do with the estrogen that is released during fat breakdown. I will take acne over weighing 300 lbs any day!:)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
