Breast Reduction and Lift Before Sleeve

Recommended Posts

Question, did anyone have a breast reduction and lift "Before" getting the sleeve? If so, how was your outcome? I know that a woman may drop down bra sizes after loosing the weight, but with this being done prior, did you even have anything after the fact? I am worryed that I won't have "NOTHING" after I drop the weight!!! lol

I had a reduction about 15 years ago--the only thing I can tell right now is that they are not as perky as before--a little saggy--but overall--I haven't lost anything in them yet--still waiting--I am hoping to be completely flat chested when this is all over with

As far as having a breat reduction DON'T do it til after the surgery. After you lose your weight, you'll be saggy, and the dr. will fix them by reduction, then "perK" them up. Do AFTER you lose weight.

I had a double mastectomy 15 year ago w/my cancer. So I don't have to worry about breast reduction or wearing a bra woohoo!! You got to look at the good coming out of the bad.this is a test

Most WLS women will lose some breast fullness and size with major and rapid weight loss. I did and there are many many others here who have too! Chances are very good you may, though of course everyone's different. It is my opinion only but I suggest waiting until you have reached goal until getting your breast reduction or reconstruction. It would be best to know the outcome after than before so you won't be left with undesirable results.

I hope everything works out for you!!

I can tell you as a person who didn't have breast surgery before the sleeve, that I am definatly considering it much more than I was before now that I've lost weight. First thing to go were my boobs and I didn't have much to begin with... and I'm not even 3 months out yet. It is so noticable that some girls at work have mentioned it.

I have always been big in the boob department even in my younger years before I gained weight. At my heaviest weight no one looked at my face, they always looked at my chest. I am 4 months out and have lost quite a bit of my boobie fat!. I am happy about it, but at my age do have some sagging. I will wait until I reach goal and would like to get them lifted to look better. I cannot find a bra that does what I need it to. I don't want a reduction, just put the "girls" back where they should be. Funny thing, as I slim down my chest looks bigger since I am getting my waist back. At least people look at my face now. My husband was always happy with me even with all my weight, but now says I have a great figure. I am not even a goal yet and feel happy about my body now.

Dude! Wait until you lose your weight! My boobs went from 44 E to now a 36 C and it's only a C because of the skin.

I get the impression the original poster has already had a breast reduction and is wondering if she will lose the small breasts she now has. Hopefully she comes back to clarify.

I got tired of waiting 20 plus years to be thin and got a breast reduction 6 years ago. Best decision I ever made. I think I will end up with saggy, SMALL deflated breasts and I am ok with that! :biggrin2: I can't imagine walking the halls after VSG with huge breasts that used to reach my waist! :nono:

I hope someone tells us HOW small they will get. LOL

I had a reduction 2 years ago. I didn't even know about the sleeve at that time. I would have waited had I known what was in my near future. I was a 42 LL before the reduction and was a 40 C before the sleeve. I am now in a 38 and somewhere between a B and a C cup and the ladies are shrinking before my eyes. I never thought I would miss my larger breasts (I don't miss my gargantuan breasts) but sometimes I look at myself and wonder what did I do. Don't get me wrong, I love that they reach high instead of slopping to the floor now but a lot of my femininity was from those girls and it's hard to know how to feel with them getting so much smaller. I, unfortunately, lost all feeling in my nipples so that is my biggest regret. I do, however, love being able to buy "regular" size bras and my tops are never too tight in the bust. I would wait if you haven't had the reduction and if you have had it then buy some great push up, padded bras.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
