I AM going to get to Onderland!

Recommended Posts

I am starting a OnederLand Crackdown today! I have been at 208-210 for the whole month of October. I am sick of being in the 200's!! I am cracking down. Tracking everything! Here is my strategy... While my son is in school my goal is to get in 64 oz of Water and 64 grams of Protein and stay under 10 carbs. For the first day or so (maybe more) I am going to replace Breakfast and lunch with a Protein Shake. Then I will eat whatever I fix my family for dinner, measuring out 1/2 a cup of it. Tonight it will b potatoes gravy chicken and a small biscuit if i can fit it in half LOL. If I get hungry (I think its head hunger) I am going to try to ignore it or get some water. I would LOVE to get to Onederland before I go to see my family in 2-3 weeks. They haven't seen me since May and I don't remember my weight then (pre surgery) but I think I was about 260 so I have lost 50 pounds since then. I will be in Onederland somehow before I go!! Starting today at 210.2......... Goal 199.9-------I know the ticker says 207 but that was only for like 5 minutes :( I will get past there soon!

Hi Ashley,

Good luck to you! I too have reached a stall and it is killing me! Not matter what I do in the gym, my body will not release the weight. I am only 5 weeks out, but gosh -- I'd like to see the scale move. I have been stuck from 202 - 206 for like 3 weeks now! Yike!

How do you get the scale moving again? I am up to about 65+ grams of Protein. I am now able to eat a little bit more, but not much. I do Protein shots\drink in the morning; lean protein\veggie for lunch, (and if I exercise that day), I can't get anything in the evening but beverage because my tummy is too tight. It all comes back up. (really a waste of food. after 3 bites I am done)

Sooooo, if you got the answer, please let me know.

Keep me posted. Take care.

S2B

I have had my first Protein Shake, 23 grams of Protein and 4 carbs... then i had 1/4 a cup of shredded cheese, 0 carb 4 protein, now i am gonna have some pecans, a lot of calories but they are supposed to be anti inflamatory so maybe it will help reduce my tom swelling. gonna work on Water in about an hour

Good luck!

Try bumping up the Water intake even more. Try 80 oz instead of 64. 64 has always been my bare minimum daily intake and during my weight loss phase I was intaking AT LEAST 100 oz per day. You will be amazed at even one extra bottle of Water will do for you.

Also, tie in about an extra 30 minutes worth of physical activity per day.

I can pretty much tell you doing those two things will be likely an extra few pounds per week. Just thought I'd suggest a few things that worked miracles for me.

:)

Thanks!! The 64 oz of water is just before 3pm so I should be able to get in more than that :D I know I really need to step it up with the phys activity. My walking buddy (neighbor) totally quit talking to me out of the blue, we had been walking every day for almost 2 months... I haven't gotten back in the groove but I need to!! I need to find a new buddy!!

BTW Can I just say I HATE drinking water!!! This is the hardest thing for me. Not that I just have to have something else but like I would rather go with nothing at all than have to drink it..... I am working really hard on it though!! Any Water advice would be great! I already know about mio, crystal lite, etc... I mean something that just tracks water, or someone to call me and be like DRINK NOW!! LOL

You can do it! You have a great attitude which will see you through. I too am hoping to get under 200 very soon. I have been kicking around 200-203 for the past 3 weeks. Yesterday I was 200.4 and today 200.8..... I will up my Water and Protein too to see if it helps. Good luck! I can't wait to hear about your success :)

Sometimes I feel like I have to force the Water in, but I'll tell you what I do... I time myself. I do 20 oz first thing in the morning during my early AM workout. Then at work I have 2 - 32 Oz bottles throughout the day. So I tell myself that I have to fininsh the 32 Oz. bottle before lunch, then the other 32 Oz bottle before I go home for the day. Then I have to have another 20 Oz bottle of Water in the Evening. I try to have it before 6 PM so I don't have to go potty in the middle of the night... LOL I don't always get around to that last 20 Oz bottle at night, but that's ok now since I'm not trying to lose weight really. And it still comes out to 84 Oz for the day too. :)

You CAN do this!! I fought with Onederland for a few months... but I did finally get there and I've gotta tell ya, it REALLY IS THE BEST FEELING EVER!! In fact it was my favorite scale Victory of them all! I don't give a lot of credence to my scale - I just use it as a guage on how I'm doing because my body weight doesn't match my fitness, which is fine. I did love getting under 200 Lbs though.

Not sure why your walking buddy might have bowed out on you, but I have my ideas... that's really sad too. But you know who my walking buddy is? My iPod. I put in a bunch of great walking songs and try to keep up with the beats of the songs. It makes me work a lot harder than I normally would.

*hugs* and a million well wishes to all of you getting over that thresh hold!!!

Boy, does this post fit me like a "T"...I have been fighting with onederland for about a month now too and I'm so close I can taste it!! I'm at 204 and if I could just get these 5 pounds off..UGH!!! I have a very hard time with Water too, but Lilmissdiva is right, I need to just DO IT!! and timing myself might be a good thing...I don't drink more then maybe 40 ounces a day, and I know that is bad!!! So I'm taking a stand with you and I CAN DO THIS!!! Thanks for the post!!!

I often use my phone timer to make sure I drink- I set it to go off every 8 minutes.

I am part of a Facebook group Quest to Onederland that has been a great support! We share all the time and set challenges- ten have a Hall of Fame for reaching Onederland.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/196526060395295/ It is a closed group but I am ow an admin so can add anyone who asks to join.

I am part of three different groups and they are a support mainstay for me!

Day 2 of this :) I went to the gas station and bought me a 33.8 ounce bottle of Water at 6am. By 6.40 it's half gone. I love the timing thing!! I am up .6 pounds from yesterday, I got in 64 grams of Protein and 80 ounces of water. I am going to push for 100 ounces of water today!! And I am going to put some fit TV on and get out my weights :D

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
