Hi, I'm Celena I'm from Walsenburg, Way south !!!!

Hi Celena. I wondered how your experience at Parker Adventist went? After I had decided to be sleeved and was already seeing Dr. Snyder (love him!) I got something in the mail from Parker Adventist talking about Dr. Metz and his practice and it specifically mentioned that he does the sleeve. I just wondered since you've been there if you would recommend it to others?

Parker is SOOOO much closer to me than going to Rose Medical where Dr. Snyder practices. I wouldn't change a thing about my experience but for people that live near me Parker sure would be closer.

Dr. Metz did my sleeve. They're great over there, and he even accepts medicaid. Everything went smoothly and as planned. My schedule from first consult to surgery only took almost 3 months. Would have been 2 but my psych was out of town so I had to wait for paperwork. All in all I would 100% recommend Dr. Metz =D

Hi all I am from Dacono (just east of Longmont near I-25) It would be great to have a get together sometime for the Colorado Sleevers I would love to have more personal support. What do you think? My process is going slower than I had hoped but every pound is less than what I weighed before and I'm thrilled about it.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
