Does anyone else suffer from extreme stretch marks I have them everywhere my back sides arms above my breast and of course my stomach. I've lost so much weight but I fear wearing anything that will show them. My arms have finally gotten smaller where i can wear sleeveless shirts and I oh so love them. I love them as shirts, dresses they look so much more appealing. But i also hate the fact that those darn stretchmarks are so visible. Does anyone else have the same problem or am I alone? And being an African American they are much more visible then ever..

My stretch marks are REALLY visible and I am quite pale but my stretch marks either have a pink tint or a silver tint depending on where they are. They are all over the backs of my arms, breasts, up to my rib cage, inside and outside of my thighs. It's gross but mine will not go away :( I even tried a mystic tan hoping they would be less visible. Uh yeah, they are more visible when I get the spray tans.

I think most of us have stretch marks considering we have lost so much weight (I also know people who have stretch marks on their breast and they have not lost the weight we have). I say embrace the good with the bad. I have stretch marks on my arms and breast, but that does not keep me from looking fabulous in a sleevless dress or shirt. Work your new look :D

How about trying some pregnancy creams to prevent stretch marks? I have been using them since I had the surgery and I have only gotten a few. I know it is still a bit early, but it has worked to date...

If someone is looking at my skin closely enough to see stretch marks, I assume they are a close friend or family member. If they aren't and are looking at them critically, then poo on them.

How about viewing the stretch marks as signs of accomplishment? :D

If you don't like the way they look either use the fade creams or cosmetics to hide them.

I have the same issue with stretchmarks. And I've found that as I've slimmed down, they look worse than ever because all the skin is loose and wrinkly. I wear short sleeves & figure if people want to look, they can look. I try to not wear anything too fitted over the stomach so that the wrinkly skin won't look so gross. I think the only real solution will be to have it removed surgically when I've gotten to goal & maintained for a year. I used to say I would never have plastic surgery. But I don't really want to be in my 30s with the loose skin of an 80 year old. Still better to be thin & healthy with stretched, saggy skin; than fat & unhealthy.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
