Funny - I love looking at my collar bones. I am a side sleeper and my knees are too bony now and sometimes hurt when I am lying on my side. Would have NEVER thought that would happen haha

You guys are all too funny! I love this thread. And yes, I LOVE seeing my collar bones again and I love seeing the ribs just above/between my boobies! How weird am I? Oh wait, you're all weird too! ;):P

Collar bones are the BEST!

I think there is nothing prettier than a long neck and corking collar bones, I LOVE mine, and when I look at them I feel like audrey hepburn (if i ever look like her i will know my wls was a total success!!).

I've recently felt ribs, and would love to see them sometime soon, although my weirdest find has to be a little sticky out bone in my wrist, seriously, my wrists never struck me as fat, but they are certainly much more bony now! :D

Not only my collar bones, but the first time I bumped my hip bone into the corner of a desk I was actually happy to get that bruise!

Omg! I thought I was weird and never said anything to anyone, but this is one of the things I'm looking forward to most. For some reason collarbones just seem to be a sign of thinness and health to me.

Onwards to bony collarbones! Lol

I can also feel the bones in my shoulders, and my hip bones! What a trip!

Haha, I was gonna say the same thing! My jeans actually press into my hip bones and it hurts, but I'm ok with that.

:P

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
