How many calories is everyone getting per day?

Recommended Posts

I've been sleeved one month now and I can eat pretty well. I'm getting 800-1100 calories per day. Sometimes I feel this is a lot!

Please tell me how many calories you eat per day and how long you've been sleeved.

Thanks everyone!

I am 4 weeks out and getting between 450-650 calories a day. Now that I'm adding in some veggies my cals are going down a little, so I think I'm going to add a snack or two in of cheese or something to up my calories and Protein a bit.

I'm 4 weeks out myself - and getting between 100-350 calories a day. If I take time out to eat I don't get my fluids in so it it is a vicious cycle and I don't know how to end it! I guess I am just one of the lucky ones who gets to have swelling farther out than normal. Every day I look for a sign of a turn around!!

MeMe - I'm in the same boat. But I'm 2 1/2 weeks out. I am only getting about 200 calories a day. When I eat mushies they often feel stuck in my throat and it will take hours for the feeling to go away. Plus, then I can't seem to drink the fluids that I should... How does one get fluids in and calories in, in a situation like this? My energy level is so low at this point that I'd love to be able to get the calorie count up.

I'm 10 days shy of 4 months out. I get 700-800 calories per day, 60 grams of Protein, and I suck down 64 oz. of Fluid. I work out 30-45 minutes 6 days per week.

For the first six weeks I probably was getting around 300-400 calories and maybe 40 grams of Protein. Then I started eating around 60 grams of protein and 500 calories. Between 5 and 6 months I started eating maybe 600 calories and maybe 65 -70 grams of protein. Now, post 6 months, I eat between 65-80 grams of protein and maybe 800 calories. Some weekend days I may go above the 80 / 800 mark. I do not want to go over 1000.

I am new here. I am 1 year and 1 month out from getting sleeved. I feel better seeing so many people eating around the 1000-1200 calorie mark. If I eat less than that I feel really dizzy and sick. I was worried I was eating way too much.

At one month I ate about 3-400 calories. Now at 8 months I eat about 1200 and feel like I'm eating too many...but so many of you are successful eating that much even earlier than I did... I am losing very slowly (1-3 pounds a month) eating 1200 a day.... I guess thats just me! I am full eating that much though, and I am thankful for that.

@Slimming Sara - when I was in week 2 and couldn't eat anything, my NUT told me to try to get my fluids in the form of something with some substance like v8 juice (low sugar) if you can handle it. This will give you some more calories and some nutrients as well as Fluid. Good luck with that. I'm sure it will get better.

@MeMeME - how are you feeling other than eating so few calories? I'm sure the swelling will go down very soon now since we're already a month out. I'm saying a prayer for you.

I'm 7 1/2 weeks out and get in between 600-800 calories a day. Weekends I don't do as well and fall to about 500 at the most. My goal is to get 70 grams of Protein in and of course the 64 oz of Water.< /p>

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
