I think that anything that would just slide down without having to chew, Jello, pudding, cream Soup etc. I have to admit my brain went instantly to those wonderful little mini burgers though.

Sliders are anything that can be chewed down, or swallowed without much effort. Usually those foods are calorie dense and nutrient lacking. pudding, yogurt, any liquid, Soups, chips, crackers, pretzels, potatoes are all examples of sliders. For some of us, sliders change. bread items were difficult for me to eat the first year. Bread is now a slider a for me especially toasted breads like pita, naan, tortillas. I still can't eat a lot of bread, but it goes down way easier than it did early out. Chips, crackers, and pretzels are super sliders for me. I can easily eat 12-20 crackers and not feel restriction.

I always assumed popcorn would be difficult to eat, but it turns out I could literally eat it continuously without having to stop. A big slider for me - I have to stick to the 100 calorie bags when I have it.

Watermelon is a slider for me. I can literally eat it and eat it and eat it. I have had to cut it completely out of my diet because I have no willpower when it comes to watermelon.

This slider topic opened my eyes a bit. I thought that once i got sleeved I would only be able to eat a small portion of anything. So approximately how many ounces of food will one be able to eat once sleeved? I would even think that an entire bag of popcorn (even the 100 calorie bag) would be alot of food for a sleever.

This is definitely giving me new insight and worries me a bit because I'm definitely the greedy type.

My sliders are popcorn ( I agree it has to be the 100 calorie pops or I way over do it ), Ritz Crackers ( OMG I can eat so many of these its ridiculous ), Actually... all crackers, chips, pretzels, anything liquidy, SF candies ( my tummy doesn't like sugar so I can't eat a lot of that - but SF and I get into trouble ), etc... pretty much everything everyone else has already mentioned.

OMG I've become a watermelon junkie...I'm only 4 weeks out, and it's just so good, and sweet, and feels so good in my mouth! My sleeve lets it just pile up in there! LOL... I've had to cut back on it too, but once a week I still get a container of fresh cut watermelon!

Watermelon is a slider for me. I can literally eat it and eat it and eat it. I have had to cut it completely out of my diet because I have no willpower when it comes to watermelon.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
