Thanks Nancy!!!

At my preop appointment yesterday, my surgery got bumped up to 8am from 1230 so I am up and about to leave for the hospital. They want me there at 6am.

Keep me in your prayers and I will be back to talk to ya all as soon as I can.

Thanks Nancy,

I am just about to leave for the hospital. I can't tell you how excited I am and how long I have waited for this day. I will hopefully be able to get back on in a couple of days to let you all know how things went.

Good luck to all those who are having surgery tomorrow as well!!

Hello everyone!

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. Everything

Worked out ok today for surgery. The day started out a 5:30, got to the hospital at 6. Surgery was right at 8 and I was out like a light. Next thing I knew I was in recovery.

The next hour was ruff. I was so uncomfortable and nauseous that I couldn't take it. Once the anti nausea drugs and pain killers kicked in I was surviving but miserable. Longest hour of my life it seemed like.

Another hour and more pain and I was heading for the room. The rest of the afternoon and evening have been spent sleeping and resting. I've had spurts were I gelt like a million bucks and othe times I thought I was going to puke.

It's kinda neat laying here in bed know that this long hard journey is almost complete. No to

Move on to the rest of my life. Without the weight.

Thanks for posting biggriz. Sorry you are having so much pain, but it will pass in time. Try getting up and walking a bit that should help some. Here's hoping that you get feeling much better today.

Biggriz..I've been thinking about you! Thanks for updating! I think the first hours after any surgery are pretty rough, but you have such a great attitude and it sounds like you've handled it like a champ! I'm sure everyday will get better as you adjust to your new way of life. You're doing great..keep up the good work..and CONGRATS on making it to the other side :)

I need a favor from one of my July sleeve buds - can someone tell me how to add a ticker to my signature line.

go to tickerfactory.com or lilyslim.com and make a ticker

When you are done it will give you a code...make sure it is HTML format

Right click and cut the whole code

Go to My settings

Profile

change signature

Place cursor where you want your ticker to go in your signature page.

Under other styles choose HTML and a box will pop up and right click and insert/paste whole code into little box.

here is the tutorial link in case my directions are not clear enough:

I hope that makes sense :)

I'm doing good - just battling through the gas pains and minor indegestion. It comes and goes and usually only lasts a minute or so. Looking forward to a full night sleep and waking up a new man tomorrow!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
