IT is nice to have No more heartburn... i am geting in liqu and protien... CANT I MOVE ON??? 7 more days of this i dont know.. im gona start self medication with smoking and sucking on candy soon.. and that is not the route I want .. i want this oppurtunity to really change the way i handle life and food... Im scared... my back hurts much.. are my kidneys ok.. (Urine DARK) ... I can not afford to keep running to DR. at least not for a few more weeks.... i need to get back to work to earn...because life is life i have been up much and carrying a little. i hope i am not ripping things out in there... I cant sleep well- I think im just anxious.

Your urine being dark is a cause for concern...I know you are hungry, but GET SOME FLUIDS IN!!! It could also be the reason for you craving other things. I cannot stress enough the importance of staying hydrated, ESPECIALLY in the summer months.

You have the rest of your life to eat whatever you wish but for now you have to recover from your surgery. That means drink Water, boullion, crystal lite, Isopure, sf Jello this week and next, drink your Protein Shakes next, eat your purees after that. After your food progression, you can decide what you want to eat. Due to the band, parts of your new stomach are more at risk and need to be treated with care. It sounds as though you have had a rough two years. but your body is not crying out for some milk or something--that's your mind. Be strong and follow your surgeon's instructions, please.

You have had a lot of things happen to you in the last couple of years that were not within your control. The good news here is that right now you are 100% in control of doing all you can to prevent any kind of tragedy with this surgery. CONTROL WHAT YOU CAN. That means follow your postop diet to the letter. Be a freaking Nazi about it. Meditate on it and let yourself really grasp this - you are NOT a victim anymore. Your cravings are false. Your body does NOT need milk or any other thicker substance. What it needs is to heal and deviating from the plan, starting to smoke and the other things you mentioned are going to hamper the healing process.

Stay in control. Revel in it. You are not a victim. Say that to yourself until you believe it. You are not a victim. All the things that have happened have brought you to this point. You are in a place now to decide exactly who you are going to be as a result of them. Choose to be stronger, more determined and motivated. You can do this. Think of the amazing story you will have to tell as the weight comes off, the story of who you have become in the face of these circumstances. You are your own hero right now. Rescue yourself. Stay on course.

Get your fluids in. There should be something to drink near you every minute of every day and you should be drinking it near to constantly. Get that urine clear.

And whatever you do, do NOT start smoking. It WILL affect how well you heal.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
