After a stall at about 143 I'm finally at my personal goal weight in 19 weeks post-op. It looks like I'm having no trouble keeping my Kcal down so I expect to go lower. I know I'd never have accomplished this without the sleeve! My surgery is a secret so I cannot post photos but believe me.....it's amazing! What kinda of fitness goals do people set? It's nice to be working on something.

I have no: fatigue, reflux or complications. My only compliant is Hair loss which obviously is considered normal.

Woo Hoo! That's fabulous! I understand about the pics- I'm in the same dilemma. I was thinking of posting but just from the neck down- but will wait awhile for that. Congrats on your success!

Congrats on making goal! Regardig fitness, I have to admit I don't exercise but need to so I can gain back lost muscle. I'm 50 yrs old now, and after the weight loss my skin is loose and baggy on my arms especially. I broke some ribs earlier this year and had some plastic surgery the first of this month, so I'm just now approved to start exercising with weights again. So my fitness goal is to get some muscles back in my arms and booty (sadly it's flat as a pancake).

Being thin is wonderful, but that doesn't make us healthy I've found. I just had a bone scan and now have full osteoporosis in my back (had a complete hysterectomy at age 41). And I was already on meds for it. Doc thinks it got worse after the weight loss due to being thinner and not getting enough Calcium and Vitamin D,so I've upped both of them when I take my Vitamins. And since your body will only absorb 500mg of Calcium at a time, I feel like I'm chewing a tablet every few hours. But I'd rather do that than end up a little shrunken old lady like my mom and grandmother are. I know it will be inevitable eventually, but I'm trying to keep it at bay as long as possible.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
