Kicked Off Amusement Ride!

Recommended Posts

Something similar happened to me ... only I was on one of those swings that lift up high - it did lock, but then the swing wouldn't lift! talk about embarressing! All those people could see that the swing wouldn't lift off - YUCK! I can't wait until next year when I am going to go on every ride there is!

Good luck with your surgery.

About a month ago, we went to visit my inlaws in Georgia. They are both fat people, and my partner and I are both fat.

First, when we got on the plane, we were in the row of 3 seats, and this poor skinny man got to the row, looked at us and his face showed this horrible look...like "oh fu**, I have to squeeze in with THEM?" Of course, my seatbelt didn't fit, but I put it in my lap so they wouldn't notice, because I can't admit I need an extender.

Then, we are in Georgia, and go to one of those Chinese all you can eat buffets, and the people in the booth across from us were making comments and turning around to look at us. It was really embarrassing. We were that "OMG fat family". Sigh.

We were going to go to downtown Atlanta, because I have been to Georgia 3 times (Marietta, a suberb of Atlanta) and never seen the downtown. So we had planned to go to the Coke musuem. Well, the in-laws didn't want to go, because they can't walk that far. So that plan ended.

For the plane ride home, we get to our seats, and AGAIN on the row of 3 seats (seriously, I think if a fat couple is traveling together, they should be allowed to switch to the row of 2, so at least you are only crammed in with your SO). What do we see? A very fat man sitting in the third seat. All three of us looked at each other, then looked at the seats, and the man said "well, ask the flight attendant if she has any lard, cause we're gonna need it". So we jammed into the seats, and had the most uncomfortable ride ever.

This is the weekend that broke the camel's back so to speak. A month later, we decided on surgery, and in 13 days we will be getting it.

I can't wait.

This is something that has been deep on my mind the past few weeks. I am part of a "Divisional Council" for the hospital I work at. We are planning a trip to Kings Island to Celebrate all we have accomplished so far:clap2: . Now the down fall is...........have I gotten so big that I will not fit into some of the rides.:faint: Am I up to putting myself in this position in front of my coworkers and friends.:help: It would be devistating to have that happen. Strangers I could handle but those I know and work with everyday........:Banane56: . Everytime someone asks me about am I going I say.....it all depends on the finances....:decision: I feel bad for lying but then again.........Please help. What would you do if your were me?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
