Challenge To Every Body!

Recommended Posts

Im in but I don't know how well I'll do. I'm weight training and it will be very interesting to see if the weight will fall off even with the intensive training.

184lbs - trying for 173lbs

I had a goal to be at goal weight by August but since I'm not sure what that weight is anymore, we'll just have to play it by ear.

I'm in! I weighed 235 this morning, so the goal is 224. I walked a mile today, so I'll have to keep increasing that and decreasing ME! Good luck all!

I am in, but doubt I will make 11 lbs. I am at 185 right now (as of yesterday) and that would put me down to 174 on Aug. 5. I have been losing about 4-6 lbs a month, but maybe if I can increase cardio and exercise I can AT LEAST lose more than 5.....even if it is not the full 11, lol!

Hi John-

I am so happy to see this challenge. It just so happens that August 5th is my One Year Bandiversary. I don't think I'm going to make my personal goal because I have been in a real funk lately, mostly due to all the surgeries. The weight came off very quickly at first...but I have only lost two pounds in the last two months!

I weigh in at 247 today....so 11 pounds lost would put me at a total of 150 lost for the year....Thanks for the motivation, gift or no gift...it will be priceless for me to make the most of this last month before my bandiversary. Thanks!:(

Well I am also moving in the right direction... My original weigh in was 254 and I am now at 252.4. I have increased my walking. I am trying to increase my walk by 1/4 each day. But with my schedule I am going to have to cap it off. I am up to 1 3/4 miles. I believe my cap is going to have to be 2 miles for a bit anyway. Keep up the hard work everyone.

I'm already down one pound. I've lost 60 lbs since starting. 380 here I come!

I didn't exercise with Gone for Good, so y'all are motivating me to get out the exercise videos and move.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
