I am going to start my race today May 8; that gives me 8 weeks. I just had surgery so I feel I should have some good weight loss in the begining. I am thinking 4lbs a week isn't a bad goal, what do you think? I guess go big and strive hard, that's all I can do.

Well - this isn't good. But, I know why. I was doing really great up until Friday. I was showing like a 3 pound loss and feeling good about "official weigh-in today. But, I had entirely TOO MANY ADULT beverages this weekend!!! There was no real good reason and the results are showing up in my "official" numbers.

While I REFUSE to entirely give up wine, I will NOT drink for the next two weekends! I really want to reach my 4th of July goal!

All are welcome here! We have about 8 weeks until final weigh in day! :D I'll be checking my scale soon, but it's been a real relief not having to rely on it the last few weeks - I can't lie. I think I'll be ok with it once I do get back on (no more scale whore here because the scale doesn't match how I feel!!!).

Congrats on everyone's success so far! You are all doing amazing!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
