Recommended Posts

I get deathly ill off of all of these muiltis the Celebrate ones the one a days the bariatric drink I dont know what to do.....i know i can handle gummies but the NUT said they dont have enough in them is that true or were they just wanting me to buy there brand . Im worried i wont be able to handle these vit. and not get enough in my system :( .what did your doc say about what your taking do you feel okay?

I tried the other chewable Vitamins, because I need the Iron, but could not stomach the taste AT ALL. I have been taking the Flintstone's gummies(2 of them) just to get something in. I know I will have to eventually take the other ones with Iron, but I will wait till I can swallow a Vitamin. Right now, I just do what I can.

The gummies have MUCH less Vitamins, that is true. If you cannot stomach anything else, you'll just have to have more gummies. Unfortunately, that also means more calories.

I know my nephew just said that he has the hardest time when taking vitamins on an empty stomach -- how are you taking yours? Have you tried taking them after a meal?

did u have a super sensitive stomach and these did not bother u?

I hate chewable anything, so i just waited until i was 2 months out and started taking pill forms, but most were way too big for me. Just recently I saw on HSN a multi that is perfect for post-WLS peeps. it has extra D and extra B12. I still take an extra Calcium. This is the smallest of capsules and goes down easy. There is no after burps, or tummy troubles at all.

Here is a link: http://tinyurl.com/5wkl46e

Here is a comparison to another complete: http://img.hsni.com/...Essential-1.pdf

It is called Essentials 1! I have so much more energy just after taking it for 2 weeks, and it seems to be all in 1 pill! I really was taken with the way they are made and have no added stuff to hold the pills together. That is a big thing, I am allergic to a lot of that!

Forgot to add that it is HSN and if you do not like them for any reason you have 30 days to return whatever you didn't use for a refund!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
