Recommended Posts

I am scheduled for a MRI of my lumbar spine. I have since emailed lap-band.com and found that my band has some medical grade metal. Has anyone else ran into this problem? Will I not be albe to have the MRI. I haven't taked it over with my doc yet, just thought someone might have some insight.

thanks,

beth

btw, my ticker hasn't been updated. I am now 180 lbs. only 20 lbs. from my goal!!!!

I have lurked on this thread from time to time, but today I have arrived. Not just on the thread, but in twoterville. I hope my stay will be temporary to whatever it is called when you get to the 1xx.

Anyway it has been a challenging and dare I say at times fun journey:thumbup:. You can see from my ticker that this goal represents 93.5 lbs that I have rid myself of.

On Monday, my trainer will again take measurements and we will know what that number represents in inches lost and my new body compostion (lean body mass and fat mass).

I am soooo glad to be here.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Mary

mccbelle,

The next town over is called Onederland. Congrats for making it here. I'm technically in Onederland now but I reside in the suburbs, close to twoterville, so I visit. LOL!

BTW, ayers541...I never heard anything about that. Wonder if anyone set off metal detectors in airports? (Sorry...lame attempt at a joke there!)

I just went through some metal detectors over the weekend without a peep.

Forgive me Twoterville...it's been ??? weeks since my last post and I'm back for support. Been wallowing in the no loss zone for too long so looking for additional inspiration to get back at it. January was one year and 72 pounds gone. Although I feel as if I should be farther in my journey at least I'm here. Ready to kick it on to the next level though. I'm only going for 9 but it's nine that I haven't been able to get rid of for a very long time. Plus it will get me to where I was 13 years ago when I moved back to Texas. I have a chapter ride that involves a weekend and bathing suits on 4/18 so I'd like to hit close to 20 down by then. Hopefully I can get a fill on Monday and keep myself in check too. Maybe if I'm really good the weight loss fairy would let me get there...lol

Man I am so close to Twoterville. Hovering at 308-312. Not been banded yet, sure want to be under 300 before surgery though.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
