My surgery was July 20th, and I weighed 247 the morning of surgery. I am on my way. I am having a big party at 299!

I am assuming you meant 347 to clear up any confusion  and grats on your great start!!!

Add me to the real close list

wahoo!!! go to tickerfactory.com and follow the prompts, select and copy the link they give you and paste it into the signature under user cp :Banane23:

LapBandit, I hear you girl. I had tortilla chips tonight  Starting to do some things for me though which is good and I see my regular doc on friday about changing my happy pills for something stronger. Planning on starting an excersise routine with some of my new found free time :Banane23:

UGGGHHHH!!!! I'm still stuck at 300.2!!!!! It's been a week!! I'm having an incrediby messed up menstrual cycle. I'm spotting and not "actually" getting my period. I wonder if that has something to do with it. I'm also sick with a sinus infection. I just wanna break into twoterville beofre my fill on Friday...:faint:

Hey Libra,

Got my first fill yesterday, owch. Poked me twice and had to palpate my port(it had tilted a bit). The scales at the Dr.s office are three lbs lighter than mine at home, but even on mine I lost a few. So I'm back on track and shooting for twoterville. I have no idea how this fill is going to be, but I'm back on liquids for a few days. I found out that I did have 2.5 ccs in my band already and he added 2. He also said I have a 10cc band, I misunderstood the Doc in mex, he was trying to tell me I had about 7ccs left in my band. Other than that I guess all is well with my band and I was worried for nothing. I also went to my first support meeting last night and it was great.

Have you tried the fresh lemon in warm Water thing? I did it on Saturday and didn't think it worked, then yesterday I spent the whole morning peeing and lost 3lbs in Fluid. I know lemon is a natural diuretic and it might soothe your throat from all the drainage too. Feel better soon.

Thanks Candy! I'll try the lemon thing. I know I'll lose it after my fill but I just want to do it before. It's like a personal goal for me. I have to get on the treadmill now...ick!:phanvan

Way to go Libra!! Congrats!

I have an appointment with my band surgeon tomorrow. I am thinking of asking about a fill. This is based on whether or not I even get to see him...I'm having insurance referral issues!! Who knew that referrals could "run out". I've been seeing him for several months now but apparently I need a fresh referral but my regular doctor's office is a mess and I doubt they'll come through and have the referral faxed to his office as requested. We'll see. Wish me luck and I'll let y'all know what happens!

Yeah Libra! I think you have the right idea, I have been weighing myself everytime I walk past that darn thing. I am down a few more 323. Maybe October will be my month to get my passport to twoterville. I'm so confident I think I'll fix my ticker. What a victory,298.5, you didn't even stop at 299.

It is so hard to not eat more than you are supposed to when you go out to eat. The food is soooo good! I have a hard time. I just hit 219. I am looking so forward to being back in the 100's. I was banded on 3/31/06 and have lost 53 pounds.

I'd like to join the Christmas challenge. I have no idea how fast or slow my weight loss will be after surgery. I'm hoping to drop at least 10 pounds on my Optifast preop diet. I know a lot of people don't lose any weight during the first few weeks after surgery so I'll set a conservative goal of 1 pound per week for myself.

Please add me to your list as:

Aza 317 299

My Christmas gift to myself: Membership to Twoterville!

I hate first bite syndrome, lol as I sit here and eat my lunch. Went and got my Dr's note and a new Rx, so am officially on leave from school till after the holidays and on the road to better mental health. I am hoping to have my usual chipper, supportive, happy, hopeful, every cloud has a silver lining self back SOON!

Treadmill? excersise? hmm maybe I should try that

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
