anyone else riding their bike?

Recommended Posts

I definately suggest against riding with any kind of music. If you cant hear traffic, you are much more likely to get hurt!

I don't see many cars on the sidewalk and I can't hear traffic when I am in my car.

I also don't see too many cars on the trails I ride.

Do you have any facts to back up your allegation or did it just seem to make sense to you?

LisaG,

All I can say is that Cannondale is nothing but the truth!!! I understand it was specially designed by women, at least the one I have which is an Adventure 400. I cant wait to get it out on a trail and really put it to the test.

Depending on your idea of a trail...it won't be the bike that gets tested....it will be you.

HUGE transition from pavement to dirt...unless it's hard packed and smooth trail.

I'm trying to strictly keep this one on pavement. I found that my area has quite a bit of nice paved trails. I rode 11.7 miles on Saturday -- all pavement.

i am pleased to see more cyclists, i myself love cycling and used to compete alot until i got BIG, i also worked in various cycle shops in my teens. I thought id join the natter.

The good thing about a bike is that it is usually rather painless way of doing cardio, i mean running always seems to hurt me (plus i only have feet with one speed).

To thos worrying about the bum ache, my advice is that yr butt does get used to it by your 2nd or 3rd consecutive ride, some helpful aparatus would be. As suggested a gel saddle cover, or a gel saddle although the gel saddles are very restrictive to the motion of yr legs. What i find helpful is to buy the padded insert for under yr pants, these help cushion you.

For people worring about a bike which will hold them, i £99 dual suspension will cope with alot of punishment, just ensure you tighten the rear coil as this can cause a very tough ride for the newbie as alot of yr exertion is absorbed in the suspension.

Cycling is great at burning calories and i recommend it to anyone.

Hi,

Yeah..love those bikes. I at first started on a recumbent style bike at the Y while working out a few years ago. Moved up to spinning classes and then this summer bought a road bike for outdoors!!! Lots of fun to go with friends and chat away the miles...when you can breathe that much!

TRY SPINNING! IT'S AWESOME!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
