Hi All, I have a question for the rest of the ladies. I am 5 months out all is good but I seem to have an odd problem urinating. It feels as if I am unable to completely empty my bladder at times as if I have lost some muscle control and can not bare down. Anyone else?

Is this something new or is it a rather recent development? Could just be a bladder infection or you are not taking in enough fluids.

Some basic feminine hygiene that a lot of women don't seem to know about:

-No scented products down there! This includes toilet paper, tampons, soap etc. For some this can include switching to scentless fabric softener. When you shower, just use Water to rinse.

-NEVER Douche! This is a horrible thing to do. You get rid of all of the good bacteria and flora down there and all sorts of bad craziness can happen.

-Wipe from front to back. For those of us of size, this can be a challenge. Try your best to partition out your cleaning that way you are not bringing any E.coli or other stuff to the vaginal canal or the urethra.

Why do I mention all of this? 1) Far too many women have no clue about their own bodies. 2)All of the above are some ways that bladder and yeast infections can begin. That feeling of not being able to empty your bladder is often a symptom of a bladder infection. Or, as I stated earlier, you could simply have not had enough Fluid intake.

Hope this helps...if not you, then anyone! :)

There's a couple of things that could cause it. Bladder prolapse is probably the most common one (esp. if you've had kids), but there are also some more serious things. Worth going to your family doc for if it becomes a regular occurence, IMO.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
