Sleeved and feeling great!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone ...I'm new here and I was so happy to find so many stories like mine.. After a life of dealing with being overweight I got sleeved on Tuesday Jan 11!!! The first day was really bad but quickly became better and now I feel great! At my 1 week post op I had lost 20lbs which is from 2 weeks before surgery ! so that was very exciting! I've been walking around my neighborhood but was wondering when any of you went back to the gym or did any weights??

My surgeon told me to wait 8 weeks post-op. I don't mind... I have a friend that did strength training a couple of weeks following laparoscopic surgery and has a nice big hernia to show for it. I don't want to risk it. I'm 1-1/2 weeks away from restarting with my trainer. I can't wait!

Congrats!!! The first day was not fun for me either, but I felt pretty good by day two. My doctor said I can do arm/leg workouts with weights at four weeks, just no abs until 8 weeks. I am hoping to go back to the gym next week. Awesome job on your weight loss!

Hello alma,

I was sleeved the same day as you and I was doing GREAT then I went grocery shopping Wednesday...now I have a little pain. Not bad but I was doing so good I sure hope I didn't mess up. My Doctor told me NOT to pick up anything over 10 pounds. I've been walking around the yard but not getting on my Treadmill just yet.

Just be careful but I would ask your Doctor. I have my first appointment with him since my surgery next Thursday.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
