SMMC LB support group chicas

Recommended Posts

I'm no tworried about confrontation. My key concern is -- people are being treated inappropriately personally, so will they be treated inappropriately medically, too. And I don't mean by Dr. H, either.

*sigh* I'm out of town thru Friday, which is why I say it will have to wait until Monday.

I'll miss you Angela-

Have fun while you are out of town.....I elect you leader of the group to actually bring it up with Dr. H. I think you are the most articulate with words, and the key opposite of me......unemotional when it comes to voicing your opinion on this particular issue (and please know I don't mean that as an insult in any way, shape, or form). In fact, I'm jealous that you can be that way. I just get too hurt at the thought of everything that has happened to me when it comes to my interactions with various office staff. Him and I have tiptoed around things, but never talked about it point-blank. I am regretful now that I seemingly lost my opportunity:think ...

I have to say that some time away from the SMMC support group, as well as not 'having' to interact with the office lately, has allowed some of the wounds to heal. But I think I will always be deeply saddened by some of the treatment I have received, as you said never by Dr H. though.

Unfortunately, I am bound to him due to being self pay. I make a $500 payment every month to the loan company to remind me of that....I probably could if I tried really hard, but I don't want to spend extra money unnecessarily on paying another fill doc for my fills/treatment.

I totally understand where you are coming from. You need to get in to see him though asap next week. I think it would be a prime opportunity (if you deem it appropriate) to bring up some of the things that haven't before been mentioned. And based on your posts and all of our interactions Angela, I think you would represent all of our thoughts, as a whole, VERY VERY well.

I'm sending you another one of those touchy feely hugs your way (that I know you hate so much!!:D ) Love ya girl!

Nah - though My fav is chicken and I know that doesn't sit with your band well. They also have Beef, Shrimp & Lamb all very good. Their sides include, Collard Greens (Very Yummy), Chick Peas, Potatos & Cabbage, Lentils and more. May sound strange but it is worth a try.

Today is my 6 month bandiversary!

BTW, I'm on my way back to town today, not next Friday. Had to fly out to Chicago Tuesday. No problems eating this week. Maybe it's the combination of flying + TOM... who knows.

Cate, good luck in your job search! I know it's not ideal, but if you just need money, aren't places like grocery stores, mega marts, etc. always hiring? Have you tried monster.com? It's a great job search site.

thanks angela. i'm hoping the temp agency will work out. i'm going to call this afternoon. i know they are at least taking me on as an associate, i just need to see where they can place me. the nice thing about temping is that no matter what, the minimum is $10/hr. I can't find that in retail stores.

Nolagirl..best wishes on the new job Ghost....Never get on the scale at night. I think you are scaling waaaaay tooooo much. The natural variations in weight need some time to even out. For me, getting one scale that much would be extremely discourging. I think once a week is more than enough. I would love to see you all at a dinnner again. But not on the same night as the SM support group. I'm dropping out. See next post.

I finally got my medical records from Hoehn's office. But before they were sent, the office manager,Pat, callled me for an interview. She wanted to know why I wanted the records, what doctor I would be moving to, why I was leaving. I told her about my negative experience with Nola: the not returned phone calls, the incorrect information, the cracks about other patients, the patronizing and unprofessional attitude. I also said Hoehn had been fine, Billie was great, and Becky had been very helpful (correcting Nola's mistakes). I didn't like the triple booking appts. on Fridays. I told her I had talked to Sabapathy about it. He had acknowledged other patients had trouble with Nola. I asked her if Hoehn knew about this. I had mentioned it to him.. Pat was noncomittal. Of course. I said I was especially fed up with Nola telling me about all the patients who were her close friends. I don't go to doctors to make new friends. I'm looking for strictly professional relationships. Doubt if anything will come of it.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
