biggrin.gifYesterday I realized that it would be my last Thursday and today my last Friday and then my last weekend being ruled by obesity as next Wednesday I enter a "whole new world...a dazzling place I never knew...." I wanted to be open and share with you that it is truly hard to think about anything else...I have purchased what I believe is the WLS pantry, I've got the Isopure on board, the C, the Multi, etc. I went to Walmart(since I figured I will not stay in that size forever) and bought really cozy PJs that were originally $16 for the top and pant set and I paid $10 now I have something comfortable to recover in, I was not told to do any pre-op diet...how are you December, January, February sleevers dealing with the upcoming dates? I posted the song from Aladdin below, I think it goes perfectly with how I feel about this new chance at life, I dedicate it to all my sleeve sisters!

I can show you the world

Shining, shimmering, splendid

Tell me princess, now when did

You last let your heart decide?

I can open your eyes

Take you wonder by wonder

Over, sideways and under

On a magic carpet ride

A whole new world

A new fantastic point of view

No one to tell us no

Or where to go

Or say we're only dreaming

A whole new world

A dazzling place I never knew

But, now, from way up here

It's crystal clear

That now I'm in a whole new world with you

Unbelievable sights

Indescribable feeling

Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling

Through an endless diamond sky

A whole new world

(Don't you dare close your eyes)

A hundred thousand things to see

(Hold your breath it gets better)

I'm like a shooting star

I've come so far

I can't go back to where I used to be

A whole new world

With new horizons to pursue

I'll chase them anywhere

There's time to spare

Let me share this whole new world with you

A whole new world

(Every turn a surprise)

With new horizons to pursue

(Every moment red-letter)

I'll chase them anywhere

There's time to spare

Anywhere, there's time to spare

Let me share this whole new world with you

A whole new world

That's where we'll be

A thrilling chase

A wondrous place

For you and me

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
