I am trying to figure out why I am so exhausted and tired. I know at the moment with the move cross country and 2 kids under the age of 6 at the same time it's a bit harder than what some people are used to. I am always knodding off, falling on myself and just plain tired. My surgery was on Aug. 26th. Is exhaustion common at this time?

Are you keeping up with nut guidelines, Protein, Water Vitamins etc?

Yes, I am. I get more Protein than he recommended, I'm taking my Vitamins, I usually get my Water in. It's just a mystery to me. I believe I heard someone say something about being tired around the 6 weeks time frame but I don't remember who or where I read that.

I kind of remember that as well. It seems most people pep up at the 3 month mark. But it never hurts to check. No reason to suffer if you don't have to. Another thought is thyroid hormone levels.

I hope you find the answer.

It maybe my thyroid. I haven't had it checked since I was in the hospital and my levels were within normal limits. I am on Synthroid and take it as prescribed on an empty stomach and I wait almost 2 hours to eat afterwards. I'm going to have to find a new GP in Washington, once our move is complete to keep track of everything.

It seems to be more common than not. I know right now I am having trouble getting off the couch. I spoke to two friends who had GB a few years ago and they both said the same thing. It took about 4-6 weeks before they stopping feeling like they were going to just fall over. I am waiting patiently since this has been horrible.

I was exhausted at week 6 but started feeling myself about week 8. I am about week 13 now and feel great.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
