I've had take out or eaten out every day since deciding on my surgery. I know I have gained close to 10lbs but I'm sick of it. Ready to be in control!

I just completed all my pre surgery tests ie., upper GI, 8 blood viles, CXR, and appointment with Internal Medicine doctor. :lol0: I have a 3 hour class on Wednesday then have one week and start my preop diet! Woohoo! I am getting closer. I was really bad this weekend. :w00t: We went out to eat 3 times and I was sicker than a dog. Back to my high Protein, low carb diet. I am not even weighing myself today because I don't want to know how much I gained of the 20 lbs that I have lost! Hope everyone is having a great start of the week!

Do any of you think like me? Im so excited about getting VSG but at the same time i think to myself "what if i dont lose anything"? Could i be the the one that wont lose and will stay fat forever? At the same time I can visalize myself being skinny, its crazy. I would like to think all positive thoughts, but that "WHAT IF is stuck in my head. I wish I could fast foward to 6 months from now so i could check out my progress. I guess I just have fear of the unknown???:thumbup1:

kerri21.... thats exactly how i feel too... im scared that for whatever reason it wont restrict my eating and i will still be hungry all the time.. and then a few mins later i can see myself happy healthy and small... its a strange thing but i think if you are like that too.. then its normal lol!!!

Kerri...I keep alternating between worrying that I will lose weight and then gain it all back and then some AND worrying that the surgery will not work for me and I will have done all this work for nothing. Still eating lots!! LOL. So glad we all have each other to worry with.

17 days until my sleeve!!

I don't have a date yet...waiting is sooooo hard!

I have my last "nutritional counseling" appointment on Oct. 5th, then assuming that the surgeons office can submit everything on the 5th or 6th...then it is a wait until they approve or (shudder) deny it. Then I'll have a date. Still hoping for Oct. date, I guess I could go into Nov. but really wanting Oct!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
