I too have 100 pounds to lose as well; however I really would like lose 120 if possible. We all took this big step together - we have to stay on course and be positive. We are all in this together.:)

Hey texashopeful! I am in mesquite and 29, and I had surgery on June 15, 2010! i started my preop at 287, at 265 on surgery date, and at almost 7 weeks out about 243. It seems like its coming off slow compared to some others, however Just this week I was able to put on a 1x top and a size 20 jeans! It was quite exciting, i called and told everyone I know. at this point I would like to lose another 100 pounds, because I have curves, and honestly cant see myself at 120. Maybe when I am closer I will change my mind huh? good luck to all

I was one of those folks too. . . and guess what I DID it, took me 7 months. . . I still have about 50 more to go though. . . now it's really slow, doctor told me the best thing to do now is change up my routine. . . do different exercises, eat different foods, etc. . . shake up the body a bit. . . going to start that Monday, lets see what happens!

I've got around 160 to lose! And although the doc says not to expect 100% weight loss, that's what I wanna do! I'm 9 days post op and actually I don't have 160 anymore, I've got 138!

I, too, need to lose 100+ lbs. According to the medical charts for recommended weight, I need to lose betweeen 122 to 152 lbs. I'm presently, pre-op so that sounds really hard. But if, I'm approved for this procedure, I plan to be successfully! All your encouraging stories has helped me to think more postively on achieving goals. I really can't wait to feel good again - I don't like the way my body reacts and feels these days.:)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
