I feel your pain. I'm stuck too, but its TOM. I hope this isn't going to happen EVERY MONTH. I'd be horrified.

Yea me too. I knew it would happen (thanks to all you guys) so i'm mentally prepared. I told myself that the first day i didn't loose I would take the batteries out of my scale. I just cant stand the torture of a stall. I have tortured myself too many years with that stupid scale. Its once a month weigh ins for me

I've stalled too. Lost 20 lbs in the first 8 days and then . . . nothing. It's now day 17 and still nothing. But thanks to all of your comments on this thread and others, I know that this is common and temporary. Can't wait for the loss to resume.

By the way, how do all of you get that weight loss ticker on your posts? I go to the but cannot figure out how to do it. Something about a pin number, but how do I get that?

Click on USER CP at the top of the forum

Click on EDIT SIGNATURE on the side column.

From the ticker site, highlight, and copy the bBcode.

Come back here, and Paste that code into the signature box.

Hit PREVIEW SIGNATURE

If it appears to your liking, hit SAVE SIGNATURE.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
