What would you order at Claim Jumper?

Recommended Posts

We are going out this weekend with a big group of people to Claim Jumper. I haven't really eaten out yet. I was just looking at the menu and trying to think of what I might order... Soup I suppose, maybe fish tacos. I will probably share something with my hubby.

Just curious what choices others would make when eating out.

I would have a super tough time deciding on something there. Everything sounds phenomenal.

The Steak and black bean chili sounds wonderful under the Favorites list.

The Tilapia VeraCruz sounds really good as well if you were planning on sharing with your husband.

chicken wings are always a go to for me on the appetizer menus at restaurants.

I hope you have a great time.

That makes me giggle! I was a server there for a year. I am scouring my brain for my faves and they are all fatty carb dreams. Don't know if they still have it, but they used to have this to die for beefsteak Tomato salad. It had huge slices of tomatoes, basil, and fresh mozzarella. Even my full stomach self loved this and found it filling. It may sound kookie, but what if you got the rotisserie chicken. You obviously wouldn't able to eat loads of it but they are yummy and you would be able to resuse that several times.

Okay, I just went and looked at that site, it is a good thing when I worked there that I was walking around so much! The nutrition info is not promising there!!! I am not a seafood girl at all, but I really like their blackened salmon too. Good luck!

(If all else fails the raspberry white chocolate cream cheese pie...........is terrible, it is yucky, no one really wants that!)

ooohhhh claim jumper has THE best mozzarella sticks... but.... guess that's not a good idea LOL. I think the chicken idea is a good one, you can bring the rest home and use it in any type of dish.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
