I have a can that I will bring. I also have some Special K Protein Water packets. I think they are strawberry kiwi. They are too tangy for me. I am on a huge peach kick and nothing else tastes very good. Diet Snapple Raspberry tea is about the only other thing I drink besides Water, hot/iced tea or milk.

All packed?????

Does it not taste good because your tastes have changed because of the surgery?

I am!! Thursday was my last day of school. So now I am just trying to wait it out. I KINDA started packing. Not much , mostly I was trying to clean up my room, I am sure I wouldn't want to deal with it when I come home so I took care of it before I left. I went on a relatively large shopping trip to GNC and Walmart to get stocked on SF Popsicles and chicken broth. I am gonna do a video Sunday of what I am taking along with me.. and maybe one before that giving measurement and a weigh in...At this poing I am looking for anything to keep me busy ....Getting a little nervous....Starting to eat everything in the house, but mostly excited = D

It seems very strange - however it is true. It really surprised me. Before surgery, I also drank Fuze Tropical. Can't get thru a whole bottle now. I have not been able to do citrus for about 5 years when my stomach got sensitive and I had my gall bladder out.

I would suggest not buying too much of anything before surgery and seeing what tastes good afterwards.

Also, I loved cottage cheese for the first couple of weeks after surgery - and now it isn't appetizing at all. Maybe I just had too much??

yep : ) I am flying down for the big event. Will be interesting to see it from the other side. And I am anxious to see the new facility.

I am also going to make sure she doesn't sneak any ice chips early! :sad0:

Yeah, don't invest in anything until you get home. I was all gung ho on muscle milk until I got out of the hospital. Bleh. For about a week, everything smelled like smoke to me. (odd, eh?) Nothing smelled or tasted good.

This past week I have started to add in some muscle milk to my diet to up my Protein count and while I can keep it down, it is much harder than before the surgery.

Good luck ladies! Can't wait to see you on the other side! :sad0:

Yeah so far the only thing I have purchased is that one thing of vanilla, and I made sure to get it from GNC cause you can exchange there with a receipt! = D Vanilla generally lends itself well to other flavor and wouldnt take much to make it taste like something nice lol ...ugh seriously my surgery cant get here soon enough now = /

How fun!!! My travel buddy has had a family emergency. He has a family member in the hospital that may or may not make it. He is feeling like he needs to stay close to home (understandable).

If his person improves he will come but I may be on my own. I'm actually okay with it. I'm a very bad patient.... typically just want to be left alone. It just gives a little piece of mind to have a friend there.

Honestly.... He is a big 7'3'' guy with a huge charasmatic personality. He charms everyone everywhere he goes and I was looking forward to him endearing himself to all the doctors and nurses. Oh well. I backpacked the Colorado trail one time - 2 weeks - just me and my dog. I suppose I can do this too.

You guys will have a great time... well... you will.... tiff will have a great experience... I'm just not sure if I would call it fun :wink0:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
