Hi Mini Me

Just wanted to jump in and say I could have written this post!! I think I was in the same boat as you are. I lost weight, dropped sizes in my clothes but I felt like I still looked the same! I really did not see a difference until I hit the 50lb mark!! I have actually read about other people posting the same thing. All at once I felt much lighter, I dropped more sizes in my clothes and I could truly see a difference!! So give it just a little longer it will happen, and then you will say YES this is why I did this!

Good luck!!

Hi Mini, I have been where you are now. It's hard to deal with how bad it was I think. I cringe when I see the old photos. Please hang on in there, it will all be OK in the next year. Loads o love Jane

Hey There Mini!

I can soo relate with what you are saying. Everytime I looked at myself in the mirror I would think to myself "the scale says I've lost weight, Why can't I see it?" Then last weekend I went dress shopping and found this really awesome black dress and I was AMAZED when I looked inthe mirror. I could finally see it. I used to wear a 24... this dress was a 16!!!! So I think it is like John said, what you wear might make a difference. You are doing great 30 lbs in 2 months is fantastic. Keep up the great work!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
