i'm on my 2nd week (full liquids) and i still don't know how much should i eat.

i usually eat a cup of Soup, but i think i can do more. i'm just afraid to do so, to actually feel the full feeling, because i don't want to throw up if a spoonful more is already too much, so i stop there without a reason/feeling.

is it even possible to get full on liquids? what if i overdo it? is the "throw up feeling" as if i had eaten something bad or does it feel different?

My plan called for 1/2 cup three times a day on full liquids.

I graduated yesterday to pureed foods. Up to 1/2 cup three times a day. It doesn't sound like much but it's ok.

I have thrown up two times now since I was sleeved on Feb 10th. The first time I ate too much scrambled egg and I had a sensation that food was crammed in the lower part of my throat. Second time I ate a little too much. Now I try to pay careful attention to my feeling full. I have a tendency to eat too fast and then feel uncomfortably full later.

I think that it is a trial-and-error process that we all have to go through.

Good luck!

A while back, another poster provided this link that takes you to a Sleeve Diet Guide. I use it as a guideline and it has helped answer many of my questions.

Perhaps it will help you too...

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
