Thanks Cajun! Are you getting closer to Onederland, or is that scale still messing with you? :(

Still messing with me!!!

It was 200.0 again this morning so I waited until after I urinated and if it was following the laws of gravity, it would have gone down at least to 199.9. But it did not!!! I could not believe it.

Guess it is waiting for the poop to come down.

Thanks for asking!

Cajun, waiting for the poop to come sounds fabulous to me. I haven't been able to stop since Monday. I'm getting very wore out from the process. In, out, in out. There's no nutrition staying inside me.

This morning I woke up down another 2.8 pounds. I couldn't believe it. I'll never be in the 200's again! That is so exciting to me. For years my set weight was 222 and I would diet and lose, always to come back to that weight, until I surpassed it in 2007 and went up to 249. I'm glad those numbers are now in the rear view mirror!

199 is going to be such a celebration for you when it happens Cajun. We'll have to hold a big party, a testament to your patience. :(

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
