That's fluids in your body fluctuating is all. I'm not one to talk b/c I weigh every day, but if you only weigh yourself 1X a week you won't go through all this up/down crap. :sad0:

It truly does feel like a fricking fairy tale!! Alice has transcended Onederland!!! Finally!! I've had a ridiculous run these last two weeks, today I'm at 196.5 - I've lost over 10 pounds in the last two weeks! Not sure why but loving it. It's slowed up a bit the last couple of days though which is fine - let the skin catch up some. I have been riding my mtn bike HARD - some 70 miles per week - lately and I feel like it is just stripping the weight right off of me. That combined with 20-25 carbs per day. Only 6.5 pounds to go before I'm no longer OBESE! LOVE my sleeve!!

Woooohooo Keys, way to go! I've had a good couple of weeks myself (9 lbs) which feels great coming off of the previous two weeks with less then 2 lbs. As of today I'm past halfway going by my highest weight, still not quite there going by surgical weight (that'll be just about the time I hit Onederland)... can I just say for the dozenth time how much I love this thing?!?

That's AWESOME Stacy! How are you doing it? What's your secret? I attribute mine to exercize and lo carbs... I see that we had our sleeves the same day and are just about on the same track, loss wise! High fives!!!!

You've lost more and I know you're exercising more and probably avoiding carbs better than I am. I probably have more than I should, although I still try to make them healthier ones, and there are some weeks where I'm very pleasantly surprised by the number on the scale. Pretty much I'm just trying to get my Protein and Water in, make it to the gym a couple of times a week and get some exercise in at work on my work days (13-hour days, but I work in an orthopedic physical therapy clinic so it's not I like I have an excuse not to do something there during the day LOL)... gotta get better about the carbs though. food boredom is a problem for me, that's for sure! You're doing awesome!

This morning weighed in at 153.2, but I'm going with 153. I hadn't lost anything in 2 weeks. It's slowing way down at 8 mos. out, but still happy with it. I'm 18 pounds to goal. I have not exercised AT ALL, so I know that would make a difference. Hope you all are doing well, too. I see the above ladies are rocking their sleeves. Keep it up, ya'll!

I added a couple of new photos to my album - "Going for Goal" taken on my birthday (17th) and the day before. Take a look.

Good job gals! You all are making such wonderful progress! I stepped out the 190s like Barbara this week, I'm 187! Yah! It's such a great feeling.

AJW- great pictures and good to see your still rocking your sleeve at 8 months out. You will get to goal in no time.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
