Chat room

Recommended Posts

Do many people use the chat room? Every time I go in there I am the only one there. Just curious

I think it depends on when you go in - probably not many there at 4:30 am... however, generally around 9 or so pacific time, you can find Tiffykins, Oregondaisy and myself - sometimes Ruthi and Soontobeskinny join us as well. We'd love to chat with you--hope to see you soon

Tiffy said last night she would be in there for sure tonight. I know I will be in there for sure waiting for everyone. I'll try to get there before 9. I usually open the window and do other things, then wait for the sound of the door bell that lets me know someone came in to chat!

I got a phone call from my friend who is sleeved and having problems. I had the window open but ended up talking to her for an hour. She has been on vacation and we hadn't talked in awhile.

I'll check in tomorrow.

I am on the east coast, so usually about the time you guys are just getting going in chat, and I am off in dreamland.

Most of the time I can chat earlier. I am never doing anything in the evenings and I love to chat. Just send me a pm with what time you want to chat.

I am leaving the chat window open right now so that I will hear the door bell if someone can come in. It's late now, but some people do come in late anyway.

Awwwww thank y'all so very much. . . I'm so excited for him to see me. He's only seen the 2 faces I've posted. We decided that I would keep from the chin down a surprise until I pick him up at the airport. I have a 3ft wide x 6 ft long banner that I plan on holding up until he sees me, THEN, I'll drop it and run jump into his arms.

He's been working out since April, and has gained over 20lbs. He left weighing 163lbs, he's up to 184, and kind of bulked up.

We've both changed, and it's going to be amazing ! ! !

Thank y'all again for all the compliments. Y'all are the best in the entire world.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
